Being married to a South African, I am lucky enough to be
able to visit this beautiful country every few years
or so.
I have chosen some of my best images from my last visit and hope that you enjoy looking through them.

If you would like to purchase any as prints, please send me an e-mail and I will be happy to help.

The Xhosa people are descended from a clan of the Nguni. Traditionally they were herders and farmers although today they are involved in a wide range of activities and livelihoods.
They live primarily in the Eastern Cape area of South Africa.
The Xhosa culture (and Nguni culture as a whole) has borrowed from the Khoisan culture and language. The Xhosa people speak a language called "Xhosa" which is known as a "click" language, having three basic clicks, borrowed from the Khoisan languages.
